Okanagan Regional Library


A new 30,000 square foot library facility in downtown Vernon with underground parking for 50 cars. Designed with LEED-Silver as a target level. The two-storey building is over an underground parkade. Concrete flat slab construction is used for the floors and includes in-slab radiant heating.  The roof features timber construction with large clear span, curved glulam roof beams supported on glulam girders. Large roof cantilevers provide solar shading and protection to entries and decks. Structural construction documents prepared using 3-D Revit BIM Modeling.
