The LEED Gold Royal Bay Secondary School on Vancouver Island promotes reflective and collaborative learning to help students thrive in today’s world.
This design-build secondary school for the Sooke School District is constructed primarily of steel and concrete with a ComSlab floor system. The project was delivered through a fast-track design and construction process with multiple phased tender and construction packages. The three-storey classroom block connects to a 350-seat theatre and gymnasium with a multi-storey atrium and rooftop basketball courts.
This contemporary, oceanfront school is a unique learning space for the growing island community.
