The Aberdeen Centre, located in Richmond, B.C. consists of a new 400,000 square foot, three-storey reinforced concrete and structural steel retail mall with an adjoining 5-level, 400,000 square foot parking structure housing 1500 parking stalls, and a 7-storey, 130,000 square foot hotel
The mall comprises 3 levels of cast-in-place concrete slab and slab bands. The roof structure of the mall is entirely made of structural steel, has multi-levels with complex geometry and spans to 150 feet with cantilevers reaching 40 feet. Foundations involved unloading, pre-loading, densification, and piling.
