UNBC Northern Medical Building

UNBC Northern Medical Building

A $24 million teaching and laboratory building to house the medical sciences faculty at UNBC.  The building contains classrooms, teaching laboratories, seminar rooms, two lecture theatres, offices, and animal holding facilities.  There is a central atrium with clerestorey day-lighting with feature timber roof in a unique wave form. 

Building construction consisted of a concrete basement, concrete upper floor for the lab wing, wood frame upper floor for the office wing, and wood frame roofs.  An animal care facility is located in the basement level.
